Why did we choose the name Shadow Puppet?

 

Wine not? Seriously, though, wine puns or references to the old world, vines or viticulture terminology, are a scourge in the lexicon of names for wine establishments. At the core these types of names are disingenuous. So many in the industry of wine are angling to evoke old world simple beauty while meeting their bottom line with cheap mass-produced swill that is nothing more than wine-flavored-beverage.  What we're talking about? Oh yeah, the name. Simply put, we  named ourselves Shadow Puppet because it sounded charming and fits nicely with our desire to have a low-lit, comfortable environment in which to socialize or quietly unwind. In a world of shadows, the humans are the puppets.
